This year’s Holiday Fest was nothing short of another fantastic success. A big thank you to all of those involved in helping to create a magical day for all the kids at Roberto Clemente School. A thank you wouldn’t be complete, of course, without a special moment of appreciation for the National Honour Society board and members, who orchestrated this event to perfection for the second year in a row under the fantastic advisorship of Mrs Eichenlaub.
Under Mrs Eichenlaub, Ava L’Heaureux, president of NHS, alongside Vice President Sandra Vitolo, Secretary for Points Mackenzie Giampietro, and Secretary for Tutoring Ellee Cha, helped make this extraordinary day possible.With the help of NHS members divided into committees for decorating and fundraising, student volunteers for Elves and Escorts, countless clubs running activities, performances by Ramapo’s Music Department, and hundreds of other moving parts, the success of this year’s event was truly a team effort and a day to remember for everyone involved.
Jackson Rijo, a senior NHS member at Ramapo, worked the University Program Engineering Department booth for this year’s Holiday Fest, and shared that, “Our booth designed custom candle holders that the kids could take home to their families. The best part of our booth was seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces when they received them.” Katherine Kuhe, a junior at Ramapo who volunteered as an escort as well as performed with Ramapo’s choir, shared that, “Holiday Fest is such a great experience and I love that Ramapo has an opportunity to be a part of something so special.” Meghan Prendergast, a senior NHS member at Ramapo, who volunteered as an Elf commented, “It was such a fun experience being able to spread joy and bring cheer to the kids’ holiday season! These warm sentiments were shared throughout the students and staff at Ramapo, and no doubt by the students and faculty of Roberto Clemente.
