Ramapo High School’s girls basketball team delivered yet another outstanding season. with an impressive 24-5 overall record and earning the Big North League Championship. Throughout the season, they displayed constant strong teamwork, leadership, and resilience.
One of the many highlights of the 2025-2026 season was Ramapo’s victory at the Westwood Holiday Tournament, where the team showcased its determination against strong competition, including a final against Ridgewood High School.
The team went on to finish as County Finalists in the Bergen County Tournament after a hard-fought game against Demarest High School, ending 41-54.
Another unforgettable moment came during the county tournament when Ramapo defeated Immaculate Heart Academy (IHA), a win that energized the team and all who came to support them.
The season was also marked by an incredible milestone for Senior Toni Pernetti, who scored her 1,000th career point in a game against Hackensack, a testament to her dedication and consistency throughout her four years on varsity. Pernetti finished out her Ramapo career with a remarkable 88-22 record. She was also named First Team All-County for the 2025-2026 season and will continue her basketball career next year at Washington and Lee University.
Pernetti comments on her accomplishments by crediting her teammates: “Scoring 1000 points is a great accomplishment, but I would not have been able to do that without my amazing teammates by my side. What I’ll remember most about Ramapo Girls Basketball is the friendships it gave me and the memories we all made together.”

Ramapo’s success this year was also driven by an exceptional group of seniors who provided leadership both on and off the court: Camden Epstein, who will play D1 basketball next year at College of the Holy Cross, was a key contributor throughout the season. Through her journey as a 4-year varsity player, she ended her high school career with 1,574 points, earning her 1,000th point in February last year. Epstein was also recently honored at Rutgers University for Women’s in Sports Day on February 4th.
Grace Saxton, who will play soccer at the University of Pennsylvania, and Maddie Saxton, who will play soccer at Marist College, brought strong athleticism and a competitive spirit to the team. Emily Carallo, who will attend Providence College in the fall, also played a vital role in the team’s success as manager.
According to Coach Gordon, the team’s head coach, the senior class was an “excellent role model for younger kids […]They have left their mark on the Ramapo girls basketball program and will be sorely missed as they start the next chapter of their careers.”
With a league championship, tournament success, and a strong culture of teamwork built by its senior leaders, the 2025-2026 Ramapo girls basketball team left behind a season to remember and a standard for future Raiders to follow.
