The 2025 fall season has come to an end, and Ramapo has yet again shown its dominance in sports. Statistics given from Niche, a company that tracks school rankings, 100% of students and parents believe that Ramapo students are athletic (niche.com). Ramapo has eight fall sports teams: football cheerleading, cross country, football, gymnastics, boys and girls soccer, tennis, and volleyball. Each has worked very hard over this past season.

For starters, the boys soccer team made history after they won Counties for the fifth time in a row, marking Ramapo boys soccer’s 18th County win in total. The game was won 2-0 against Bergen Catholic, the only team that they previously lost to in the season. They went on to win the NJSIAA Group 3 state championship game against Middleton South 5-1 (nj.com).

Girls soccer saw a successful 16-5 record, each loss only by 1 point and each win by a margin of 2-7 goals. They made it all the way to the NJSIAA Group 3 state finals, although they lost 2-1 to Morris Knolls (nj.com). Still, their season was very successful. Junior Lucy Carr noted, “Every one of our wins was a team effort. When we worked together, we were really a force to be reckoned with.”

Girls volleyball saw similar success. This season secured them State Sectional champions for the second year in a row and as League champions for the third year in a row (nj.com). “I was most proud of the way that we played in the state sectional final,” Coach Van Hook commented. “As a coach, we envision a match that is perfectly played, and that game was our best performance of the season.”

Football performed excellently this season, with an 11-2 record, the only two losses being once in the beginning of the season and at the finals. They played the finals at Rutgers University, and although they lost 34-21, it was still an incredible achievement (nj.com).

Gymnastics saw an incredible 2025 season, winning Counties for the fourth consecutive time and setting a new team PR. They later broke and set a new team PR of 110.525 at the North Jersey Gymnastics League A Championships. They were named the 2025 Team of the Year and finished the season with a 9-2 record (nj.com).
Ranked in the top three public high schools for student athletes by Niche, Ramapo has a lot to celebrate (niche.com). These athletes have tirelessly dedicated themselves both over the summer and during the fall to train, and it has reflected in their results. Now, as the fall season has come to a close, Ramapo athletes will seek to continue their success in the upcoming winter season.
