My name is Lindsey Morrison and I am beyond honored to have been your Rampage Newspaper 2023-2024 Editor-in-Chief. Most might know me from Rampage meetings, shared classes, my name underneath my articles, and my constant Schoology postings (sorry!). I want to begin my farewell letter by thanking you for picking up Rampage and reading our stories. The changes made to Rampage this year by myself and my editors have truly transformed the newspaper and its popularity. Initially, I joined Rampage to expand my writing portfolio and skills. I had no idea about the relationships it would create and the community I would be a part of, but I am grateful for the memories made and lessons learned. 

Seniors, our time at Ramapo High School is coming to an end. Our days of walking in the crowded hallways, rushing to get to our cars so as to not hit traffic leaving the parking lots, and seeing each other every day are sadly over. I hope everyone succeeds during their next steps to adulthood and remembers the lessons they have learned at Ramapo High School. 

To my Rampage staff and advisors, thank you. Thank you for helping me and guiding me to improve the newspaper. Thank you, Mrs. Manzo, for giving me the wonderful opportunity to guide this great group of writers, and the chance to grow my own skills as a writer and a leader. To my Senior Editors, Chris Werkley, Andrew Onderdonk, Tristan Walder, and Jacob Marcos, thank you for all your help and hard work to make this year amazing. To my incredible Online Editor, Addi Palmer, thank you for keeping up with the crazy publishing schedule. To my Creative Director, Victoria Acunto, thank you for learning how to use Adobe with me and working hard to create the layouts every month. To my Social Media Director, Lana Jepson, thank you for coming to the meetings excited and always bringing new ideas and perspectives to improve Rampage. To my Assistant Editors, Savannah DeFino, Simrin Anand, Victoria Acunto, Lana Jepson, and McKenna Houston, for always volunteering to help when needed and making everything run smoothly. Thank you to the staff writers who helped fill the pages of our newspaper and those who attended every meeting. 

I am incredibly proud of my 2023-2024 Rampage staff writers for bringing serious issues to light and informing our community of student opinions. I look forward to all the possible changes Rampage could bring to our community and the impact our words have. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been able to educate our readers on the value of free speech and celebrate Student Press Freedom Day with you. Student journalists have the ability to produce pieces that teach the public about community and global concerns, as well as celebrate school activities. I hope that Rampage has informed you about a topic, helped broaden your view of the world, or introduced you to new media during this school year.
