As Ramapo’s spring sports season comes to an end, the Ramapo Girls Softball team shines as they conclude yet another amazing season. The team ended with a record of 18-6 and 7-1 in the Big North Conference. After a long season of after school practices, matches, and even a team trip to DisneyLand, this team continues to make Ramapo proud.

One especially notable moment of this year’s season was junior Grace Saxton’s recent achievement of getting 100 hits! Grace has been on Varsity since a freshmen as first base, and commented on her gratitude for this year’s season. She shared, “I was really happy to get the 100th hit – my team and coaches are really supportive and this season was so fun. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without their support. Our team is really close which makes games and practices even more fun.” Grace’s success and the team’s outstanding record this season perfectly demonstrates the talent and dedication that this team has.
The end of the 2025 season marks a particularly bittersweet moment, as the seniors of this year’s team played on Ramapo’s field for the last time. Rampage wishes congratulations to seniors LeeAnn Downey (shortstop), Daniella Ruby (outfield), and Cadie Sauter (catcher)! LeeAnn is committed to Iona University where she will be continuing her athletic career as a D1 softball player. Daniella will be attending James Madison University in the fall and Cadie will be attending The College of the Holy Cross. Cadie shared, “I am grateful for the friendships that I have made over the last four years. On the team this year, we always had each other’s backs and never gave up. We had some amazing wins this year, and I’m really glad that my last year of playing was with this group of girls.” Ramapo’s Girls’ Softball Team is clearly a community of unconditional support and an undying passion for the sport – revealed through their myriad of successes this season.
Congratulations, girls!
