No matter where you are in your college journey, everyone at Ramapo is here to support you! As a Guidance counselor, Mrs. Dondero has experience working with all kinds of students. She shares, “Some kids have been doing research on college for years, while others have no idea where to even start. It really varies. It keeps my job exciting!” Now on our side, Rampage brings to you our guide to colleges based on your star sign!
Aries
As the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries are never afraid to fight for that number one spot. So, what better match is there than the best in the country, Princeton University (Forbes)? Aries are characterized as being competitive and ambitious, so shooting for the stars is not out of the question!
Taurus
As an earth sign represented by the bull, Tauruses enjoy serene and rural environments (Allure). Located in Vermont, Middlebury College’s rural campus is gorgeous and provides many opportunities for outdoor activities such as skiing for you to enjoy.
Gemini
Geminis are known for being incredibly curious. Schools with open curriculums like Brown University or Hamilton College have no general education requirements and allow curious Geminis to explore every area of interest!
Cancer
As creative, intuitive, and emotional people, Cancers may find themselves at home in smaller communities that many liberal arts colleges provide. Bowdoin College is known for its close-knit student population and has a varied social scene that really fosters creativity. (Collegevine).

Leos love the spotlight and glamor, so what better place is there to be than New York City? At New York University the city is your campus, allowing you to spend nights under the lights in Times Square, or surrounded by the rich historical artifacts of the MET.
Virgo
Virgos are analytical and thrive in organized spaces. For this reason, Tufts University may be for you! Not only is it one of the top research universities in the U.S., but it makes research extremely accessible to all of their undergraduate students (Tufts University)!
Libra
Libras are represented by the scales and consequently are extremely passionate about justice. If this sounds like you and you see a future in law, University of Chicago has an amazing program that helps undergrad students see if law school is for them. Additionally, they also help students build competitive applications for law school.
Scorpio
Known for their determination and bravery Scorpios are another group that thrives in a competitive environmenst. A school like Columbia University known for its competitive campus culture and 24 hour library lets people like you push themselves to the max!

Sagittariuses are globetrotters and find themselves to be very adventurous and spontaneous. With 20+ study abroad opportunities given by the school itself and three campuses worldwide, New York University is the perfect place for you to explore the world (New York University)!
Capricorn
Capricorns are incredibly persistent and hardworking. For these reasons, they really thrive in professional environments. Northeastern University’s renowned co-op program allows students to take a whole semester (or more) to work in a field related to their major and gain real-world experience within their field of study.
Aquarius
Aquarians are known for being innovative and revolutionary. Schools like MIT or Stanford that are known for always being on the cutting edge of technology could be somewhere you could thrive!
Pisces
Pisces are known for being extremely artistic! For this reason they may find their niche at the Rhode Island School of Design where you can major in anything from computer graphics to furniture design.

From personality quizzes on Naviance to events at school, there is so much to take advantage of! Mrs. Dondero reminds us, “Your school counselor is also a fantastic resource in helping students find the right school for them,” so don’t be afraid to reach out! Senior Sarah Taoufe also echoes this same sentiment by saying, “Keep contact with your guidance counselor and make yourself comfortable with asking questions and sending emails, because there will be many confusing aspects of supplemental essays and filling out applications that you will need to contact your counselor for.” Sarah emphasizes, “And always express your gratitude!”
