Is it time for a switch-up? Ramapo Indian Hills High School is looking for something new and unique that can spice up the way the school is viewed. The classic yellow, green, and blue colors that envelope a sun seems antiquated, and many people think a new logo would spruce up the face of Ramapo.
Back in the year 2000, the multi-year renovation called The Horizon Project of both Ramapo and Indian Hills High School was taking place. Randall Rosilli, the Director of Technology at the time, had the honor of creating a new and improved district logo that has lasted 24 years.
Now Ramapo Indian Hills High School District is looking for a modern rebrand to represent the high schools and district for the future.
When asked about any ideas for the new logo Mr. Chang, the current Director of Technology for the district, shared, “ We are open to all unique and inspiring logo designs that embody the spirit of the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District. We would like to encourage student involvement in this creative endeavor.”
The district is now asking its current students for their help in creating a new innovative logo that would represent Ramapo. Students are invited to participate in the RIH logo design contest with a $100 gift card prize for its future winner. With some guidelines, students are asked to make sure their designs contain only two colors, and are to avoid any major complex designs. Additionally, students should avoid any sort of copyrighted elements such as borowed text, images, and logos. All designs must be completely original for the designer to receive any credit.
Junior Gabby Laraia is Po’s very own creative design prodigy and believes that this is the perfect opportunity for her to demonstrate her skills! Having taken many art classes here at Ramapo, she believes this contest would give her a chance to give back to the community that has taught her so much. When speaking with Gabby she seemed exhilarated, saying, “I’m excited to be able to participate in this! I have been putting a lot of thought and effort into the hopefully new district logo!”
The contest is being held from November 1st through November 30th, 2024. All submissions must be turned in by 11:59 p.m., either digitally or physically to Director of Technology Mr. Chang!
