Kaitlyn Arnold is a force to be reckoned with on the soccer field. She was named captain of the 2024/25 season after playing on the Varsity team for three years. As a senior this season, she has led her team to a total of eight wins and one loss for a total of nine games played (NJ.com). Kaitlyn led her talented teammates to two victories over Ramapo’s biggest rivals, Ridgewood and Northern Highlands.
“Ramapo soccer over the past four years has taught me so much about my mentality and perseverance, both on and off the field,” says Kaitlyn. “I’m looking forward to the rest of this season with my team, hopefully winning counties and states, and then getting ready for my college season.”
Since her sophomore year, Kaitlyn has been the starting right back on the defensive line for Ramapo, and she has scored four goals and made five assists (NJ.com). Her stats are bound to only progress as she continues to train for not only her high school season, but also her club season for Cedar Stars Academy, and eventually for her college career at Gettysburg College.
Maddie Gibbs, coach of the Ramapo Women’s Soccer Varsity team says, “Kaitlyn has been a cornerstone of your program for the past four years, demonstrating her value on the field since her sophomore year. Her ability to play through and overcome numerous injuries showcases her toughness and leadership by example.”
Kaitlyn started playing soccer when she was four years old. Her strength on the field and leadership skills against tough teams is unmatched in the program. She now travels all over the country to play in tournaments with very challenging teams. On both the club and high school level, Kaitlyn has consistently proved herself in terms of her technical skills, physical strength, and strong mentality.
She is not only a great player on the field, but also a fantastic student committed to her academics. Kaitlyn has taken high-level classes, participates in the National Honors Society, and serves as a Ramapo Senior Ambassador. She has demonstrated interest in studying kinesiology and possibly pursuing a career in that field.
We can expect only the greatest from Kaitlyn as she makes her way to Gettysburg this summer. She has always demonstrated strength and leadership on the field, embodying the true qualities of a captain. Kaitlyn, we wish you good luck, and go bullets!
